Ripe banana face and body scrub
Do not throw away the over-ripe bananas. You can use these beauties to make a super facial scrub.
1 ripe banana
4 tablespoons granulated sugar
¼ teaspoon of your favorite essential oil
Mix the ingredients together with a fork into a chunky paste. Do not over-mash or it will become too thin. If you want a banana scrub for your face, reserve some of the banana and mash it separately without sugar. In the shower, pat the sugar mixture and gently massage over your body. For your face, gently massage plain banana there, avoiding the eye area. Rinse off with warm water.
Teeth Whitener –Rub the inner part of a banana peel gently over your teeth for a few minutes, then rinse off. Repeat every day for whiter looking teeth.
Wrinkle Reducer – sprinkle few drops of vitamin oil on an inner portion of the peel, rub it on your face and neck. Leave on for 30 minutes and rinse. You can also leave it on overnight and rinse it off in the morning, letting the banana work its magic while you sleep.
Acne Treatment – Banana peel is also great for treating blemishes and acne. Rub the affected area for a few minutes then rinse, repeat it twice a day for better results. The antioxidants and nutrients in the peels help pesky breakouts.
Moisturizer – Mash banana pulp with oats Use it as a mask. It softens and hydrates dry skin.
Puffy Eyes –Cut banana peels in a size of a sleeping eye pad– just use them the same way, over your eyes for ten minutes, to give you a bright, freshened look.
